OK... What gore effect/image/scene haven't we seen in a dead film yet?

As mentioned earlier, I think a scene involving a mother or parent being forced to execute their own children in order to survive or children being attacked and devoured by a zombie horde. It would be absolutly heartwrenching and emotional to watch especially if it was filmed in a raw in your face style and if there was enough charecter development to make you care. I've had a fiction contribution along these lines in my head for quite sometime

people killing the elderly in a retirement home, raiding it of supplies/out of neccessity killing them to save supplies after they set up base there and or a retirement home being seiged by the undead thats alot of old slow,wheelchaired incredibly helpless screaming food im sure the staff would flee like hell and leave them to die a family being turned away by other survivors due to supply restrictions a man who keeps the body parts vietnam style to make ear,tongue,finger necklaces a parents kicking his child down to survive while they are eaten a man who kills his neighbors and other survivors to steal supplies zombies piling up and actualy crushing a man to death as others feed on him accidental fire burns the fortress/shelter of our well rounded and loved characters leaving them the choice of die in the smoke or flea into a sea of the undead characters starving to death in a high place a character falls onto his own weapon in a panick and is impaled or severly injured a main character getting away from it all beating the odds doing well escaping the battle and massacre of his friends in a huge zombie siege but he is injured badly alone and cold in a high place , slowly bleeding to death with the carnage of your entire group being feasted upon surrounding you

I think some of you will remember the original teaser trailer from DOTD2. It had the music from Day as the score and as the camera moved through the building littered with victims of the undead ,the sound of a baby crying replaced the ringing phone. There was then a crunching sound and then the crying stopped. On entering the room from where the crying came from, a zombie is stood over a crib stuffing its face with baby innards. Horrific really and although we all love our zombie movies, there really is, imho, some things best left to the imagination of those that desire ultra realism. I personally will live happily not ever seeing a baby being eaten in a zombie movie. I recently read World War Z and I am now issuing a spoiler alert. In one chapter during 'The Panic' a group of mothers had sheltered in a church. The fathers and males had assembled outside of the church to defend it. As the fathers were overwhelmed and the dead poured in to the church, the author painted a horrific picture of mothers killing their babies and the zombies killing as many more. That one chapter made me put the book down and I must admit, I had to force myself to continue reading. Don't get me wrong though, the book was great as a whole but I couldn't stomach the notion of babies and small children being part of the undead world. I understand why that particular chapter was there, and it did what was probably intended by the author in unsettling me, but I like to keep the whole concept of the dead devouring the earth in the realms of fantasy. That fantasy doesnt include seeing babies getting eaten. We know it happens in the worlds of the dead, but I honestly feel it doesn't need to be addressed on screen. Anyhoo, I will retire to the fringes of the forum and let you all continue your debate.

How about something along the lines of a Wacko type mass murderer getting out of prison as the infistructure fails, he gets bitten & turns. Because of his primal instict to kill and hurt he walks around with a knife or shank of some type stabbing other zombies that he gets close to!

i do believe i have seen both of those done neil, too bad i cant remmber the titles though but im 99% sure. as for somethign else hmm..... masssively obese fat guy being run into full force with an old 60's voltswagon van, exploding on impact. a zombei biting a guys wang off while hes still alive (ooohh, all dudes in the theatre cross there legs, you can have that one for deadlands 2 dj ) zombie birds, ITS GOTTA HAPPEN IN A ZOMBIE FILM EVEN IF I GOTTA DO IT MYSELF ONE DAY! a guymeeting up with the survivors only to pull a gun on them, make them beg ,tell them hes gonna kill em regardless ,then proceed to kill them all, and -wait for it- lights a smoke and sits down, scene closes with no retribution and a ottla "nuh-uh" factor. -i should note one fine little tidbit in the dawn remake was the bus driver trying to pull the woman out her car, great little bit of post apocalyptic "woah, no way" footage.

Children being attacked of course. It would be pretty shocking to see a little 5 year olds face get bitten off. A necrophliac pleasuring himself with a recently dead chick only to get his wang eaten

How about... Someone being chased around an airport by zombies, hopelessly outnumbered. The person gets cornered near a 737 with engines running. In an act of desperation, the vic tries to run across the front of the aircraft but gets sucked into one of the engines. Zombies are shown reaching into the dead engine scooping out the gory mush of what's left of our doomed hero. Or... a person, trapped on the roof of a high-rise, jumping off just as they are attacked by three or four zombies. As they are falling, we close up to the victim as flesh is bitten off at various places and then, WHAMO, we see the vic and zombs literally explode as they hit the concrete.
