Thanks everyone-glad you liked them. I'll get some shots of Fiddler's Green (BCE Place) posted soon.

I've been there a couple times before. When I was watching Land at the theater, I was scratching my head and wondering where I had seen the building before. Towards the end of the movie, I sat bolt upright and said, "The Hockey Hall of Fame!"
I can't believe it took me so long to figure it out.

No Bassman the EATS sign wasn't there. Probably set dressing. The wedding chapel is located behind an upscale restaurant/banquet facility called "The Doctor's House" so you can get married in the chapel, get your photos done on the grounds and then walk into the banquet hall. There's no bandstand either. It's a really nice little town to visit if you ever get the chance, the local storekeepers will tell you stories of how Universal Pictures paid them bags of money to close up for a few days for the filming. The townspeople wanted all the moss left up for halloween but Universal signed a contract to return the town to it's original condition. My girlfriend bought a nice print at an art store and the owner relayed this info to me.

Great photos. Took some guts to turn your back on Big Daddy's place like that, regardless of how "it's not real" the movies are.

This also settles something else we were discussing awhile back, about the distance to Uniontown in the film and the time elapsed. These photos prove that it is the real Uniontown in the movie, so everything should be based on that.
