Ya know....I love adult swim and most of the shows that are aired during the program, but I just don't "get" Matalocalypse. For some reason it's just not funny to me. I don't understand it.

Wow, a lot of people know I'm into zombies, I must have had half a dozen people tell me about, email me or contact me in some other way about this topic. And yes, the best part is that someone thought it was necessary and reasonable to add a question mark to the end of his name To me, that makes him worse than name-hypehnaters

Ya know....I love adult swim and most of the shows that are aired during the program, but I just don't "get" Matalocalypse. For some reason it's just not funny to me. I don't understand it. I think to "get" it you really have to understand the extreme metal subculture in all its absurdity. If it's not something you're familiar with, then I imagine it would just fall flat - like a science teacher telling chemistry jokes to a class full of bored school pupils.

Metal isn't usually my thing, but it seems to me that I should "get" the comedy since I get the absurd comedy in other Adult Swim shoes. I dunno.... I've jacked the thread enough. Back to the outbreak.

Megalocalpse symbolizes the power of anarchy to over turn the best laid plans of the state and the corporation--outrageously illustrated by the secret cabal trying to control Deathlok for their own ends. The band members of Deathlok perfectly exemplifies how uncaring and out of touch the wealth elites are with the majority of humanity. Zombies in a Deathlok-Romero type universe will defy the abilities the state to suppress them, the elites ability to escape being devoured, and confound any faction that tries to turn the zombie outbreak to their own advantage.
