He went with them. Same thing. He may not have been part of the "team", but he went with them and was friends with Dutch. He was part of the mission just as much as everyone else.

Hell....throw in Anna too. I'll take her as part of the team.

Here's an idea....the colonial marines from Aliens. I would probably choose them over the Predator team. And I would stick very close to Hicks...

I would rather have the music from the end of Dawn when Peter decides not to commit suicide. It is almost the same thing!

In fact, I think its name on the DeWolfe Library was something like "A-Team like music"

mmmmm....the A-Team would make some gyro-copter out of it or something. Maybe I would feel better if MacGyver were paired with the Professor from Gilligans Island! Now thats a think tank!

Actually, it's "Action Pack" from the World Power DeWolfe Music LP.

And when Peter makes it into the helicopter, it's a different track--"Proud Action" from the same LP.

    Again... Carl Weathers' pose!

No but seriously, I think I'd still stick with Dutch's team. While there were more of the Colonial Marines, and they hade some nice equipment with them, Dutch's team was more of a covert team, while the marines were... well, Marines! I don't want to announce my presence to every zombie out there, so I'd stick with the commandos.

One thing that I think no one has really considered. Dutch and the boys, once out of ammo, would be forced to use whatever was in the gun store in the mall. Blaines gattling gun was indeed friggin' awesome, but do you think the gun store had proper ammunition for it? Same with Poncho's grenade launcher thingee.

Now, the A-Team could readily use the weapons and ammo available in the gun store! No adaption problems for them.

While I like the colonial marines, I won't comment on them because they exist in the future and would not be a consideration in the present era. That's like saying youd want Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock< Dr. McCoy and Ensign Ricky to have your back. They and their phasers only exist in the future time. Heck, using that logic, I'll take Voltron! His blazing sword could polish off anything!

I think the marines could be just as covert as Dutch's group if in that situation. Dutch's group KNEW they were going into hostile territory, while the marines were on a search and rescue and weren't sure if there were hostile enemies or not.

I could see them handling zombies quite well. Just send out Bishop....the zombies can't eat him.

True. But it just seemed to be as if the Commando team were experts at covert warfare, whereas I'm not sure the marines were. Besides, keep it as small as possible. We're not gonna fight a war, we're gonna be on the road. Quality over quantity

Ok, Ok, I admit it. I just want Arnold, Carl and Jesse on my team.

Dutch, Blaine, Mac, Billy, Poncho, Hawkins & Dillon(I can name them all by heart btw..). Those guys were hard as fook.

That IS a good one...I'd still take Dutch & co. though (I THINK), as they were an elite unit, the best of the best. Plus their ability to improvise outside the usual command structure, isolated on their own deep in enemy territory. It's what they do.

Eh...I'd consider them...they're not as "sci-fi" as the other examples you give. All of their gear is pretty similar to conventional weapons, just tweeked a tad to make them a little "futuristic"

OK, so the colonial marines ammo runs out...their future weapons are useless, except maybe to use as clubs!

Remember, Hicks had his shotgun, which he 'liked to keep near for close encounters.' If he knew how to use one, I'm sure Drake, Vasquez, Hudson, and company could easily have, as well, or learned quickly enough.

I, of course, loved when the Aliens crew was brought up as an option by bassman, and would've also stayed close to Hicks.

But for the options given, although I loved the A-Team when I was younger, they just don't instill a comfortable enough level of confidence as I'd have in the Predator bunch. Even after the ammo for their special guns ran out, why couldn't they adapt to "regular" guns and ammo? And I'm sure with their training they could figure out some tactical manuevers to fight off the hordes of zeds and marauders.

IIRC the Pulse rifles used a 10mm round, which is a modern day. The pistols they were carrying were the Colt 1945A11 .45 ACP. The Smart Gun, I have NO idea. Same with the Flamers. So for the most part they were fairly conventional firearms (I think...) except they spiffed them up w/the digital ammo counters & such.
