i'm going to say horses... man you look at one the wrong way and they kick you sideways... I should think they'd easily fend off and knock down a few zombies... come to think of it... perhaps a horse would be an advantageous means of travel for this very reason if you can ride because they could help fend off the flesh eaters... hmmm...
You smell that? That's the smell of spring, and I love it. You know what I love to do in spring? I love to come out into the woods, to walk amongst the budding trees, to smell and taste the hint of renewal that hovers in the air like a heady perfume, and to listen to the song of the birds who have returned from their long sojourn south. And bury the people I killed during the winter...

I'm sorry that I didn't put horses on the poll. I was trying to focus on animals raised for food. I can understand the need for horses as transportation after z-day since gas will only last so long. I can't figure out how to edit my poll so I can add horses, so I guess I will have to keep a running count of how many choose horses.

That's my bad as I consider horses to be farm animals but hey they prolly could end up as food if necessary maybe they taste like chicken... but i'm just not sure in a zombie world i'd ever eat flesh again... when I think about it... if i'm trapped in a place populated by zombies will I really have the desire for flesh anymore? Or will it sicken me to see them feasting on my friends and family and strangers to the extent that I couldn't bear to eat it anymore? I'm pretty sure I wont worry about the missing protein because I doubt anyones gonna rob a GNC for protein powder in the zombie world so that's up for grabs.

Was flipping through the channels and saw a bit of Wayfarer on Russia Today. The guy was at a restaurant (didn't catch where in Russia) where they serve horse meat quite a bit on the menu. Guy orders a stew with said meat and remarked that it tasted like beef.

Anyway, I don't think the appetite for flesh would disappear, especially when ravenous hunger sets in, unless there's a big oder problem in the area with rotting flesh. I know if I got hungry enough, no matter how much gutmunching I witnessed, if I saw some chicken or SPAM around, I'd wolf it down.
