    New teaser:

I wonder how much longer we'll have to wait for a proper trailer? The premiere isn't until 2017, but they've been filming long enough to edit together a trailer...

    Groovy tease.

Yeah, it's gonna be a long wait - but hopefully it's going to be worth it. I'm so stoked for this! Just seeing that sign getting put up gave me tingles.

    It's happening again...

We're in the home stretch! Soooo excited, but still insanely confused how we haven't gotten a real, meaty trailer and the premiere is only weeks away??

Please oh please let this live up to expectations....

I'm so friggin' stoked for this!!!

Like you say, fingers crossed it lives up to expectations - especially so after 26 years of waiting! That Season 2 finale had so many cliffhangers that need resolving somehow!

Hope it lives up to just half of your hopes! Could be interesting!
Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. In the words of Chip Chipperson - FAWK YEAH!!!!!

Watched the first two episodes last night and I can't tell you how happy I am that Twin Peaks is back. I watched that last scene in the Bang Bang bar three times - melancholy love songs with a dreamy-voiced singer? Oh yes, I'm back where I want to be!

I haven't read the cast list that was published a while back, so it's enjoyable to see who pops in along the way - lot's of "oh, it's them!" moments.

It was sad to see Catherine Coulson in such a frail state (that must have been filmed not long before she passed), but on the other hand it was great that The Log Lady was able to return to the show. And of course this'll be the swan song for Warren Frost (Doc Hayward) and Miguel Ferrer (Agent Rosenfield). Nice touch to dedicate the opening two-parter to Coulson and Frank Silva ("Bob", who passed away in 1995).

The 3rd and 4th episodes (next week's episodes) are available On Demand, so I'll be watching those tonight. I can't resist.

I'm sort of mixed on the start of season three at the moment. It's great to have the show back and it's definitely a fun watch, but maybe Lynch having complete control could be a negative mark on the season? Lynch is Lynch, so the "WTF's??" are expected, but maybe it's too much? We now have four episodes available for viewing and I feel like it didn't even begin to strike the right balance until the fourth episode, and they may completely change by next week.

I'm not saying im not enjoying it thus far, but is there a chance that that Lynch-to-standard mystery ratio is leaning too far to one side?....

Having seen next week's episodes (eps 3 & 4) last night, I think episode 4 felt a bit too slow. A little bit like "yeah, I get the point, now let's move forward, shall we?" ... we're nearly a quarter through the season and I hope they don't dawdle. There's a lot of ground to cover, so spending several minutes watching Jacobi spray paint spades or 'Wally Brando' blather on gets a bit frustrating as it can feel like it's robbing time from all the other things we need to be dealing with. The casino stuff was good, but again it went on too long. I hope we don't lose too much running time to locations other than Twin Peaks, as well. Moderation is key - the South Dakota stuff in the first couple of episodes was very interesting to me, for example, but there's a fair amount of time outside Twin Peaks in the third and fourth episodes.

I'm in two minds about the sheer volume of familiar faces appearing in cameo roles - on the one hand it's jolly good fun to see various people pop up here and there, but on the other hand it can be distracting at times.

This all said, I thought the pacing of the first two were pretty much spot on, and I enjoyed the 'weird people in weird places' stuff in the third episode quite a bit.

So, a couple of issues at this point, but I'm still immensely happy to have Twin Peaks back.

Must admit... Finding the first episode hard going. Maybe just not my bag?

I was burnt by Westworld where I just kept watching in the hope it developed into something more, and by the end of the series regretted watching it... I'll give TP another hour and then decide. There's soooo much else to watch instead...

Twin Peaks isn't the sort of show where you'll get quick answers and never has been. Lynch loves a twisted mystery.

Were you a fan of the original two seasons and movie?

I recall watching the series but maybe I just didn't dig it enough then, to dig it enough now?

Has everyone in this show been involved in a car accident resulting in whiplash? Seems no one can turn to look at anyone else at anything more than a snails pace!
