Are the special features worth the purchase? Also, is blu ray really necessary for this particular release or will dvd suffice(I often like to listen to commentaries while at my computer at work)?

The Blu-Ray is loaded with stuff the DVD doesn't have, but the commentary is on both discs. The PQ is amazing on the disc, but is it needed on Blu? probably not, but since it was only $3.00 more than the DVD and had more features... tis why I bought it.

Ummmm, you're the one who insinuated I had a brain to begin with, Dj.

I still have a brain... I'll admit it's probably a piece of charcoal on a brainstem right about now, but I still have a brain!

Aside from you two bitching like a married couple......I finally saw this flick last night...

So now the twins are wanting MORE money? WTF? They're already from a wealthy family, won 65 million for doing NOTHING, and now they want more?!? If the film is to be believed, those guys are nothing but grade-A greedy douchebags.

As for the film itself - I really enjoyed it, but best film of 2010? ehhh....not so sure about that. Granted, I haven't seen every film of the past year, but if this is the best then the pickings must have been slim. Black Swan would easily trump this as the best, imho. Not that Social Network is bad, I just didn't find it to be as incredible as some reviews would lead you to believe. Zodiac was a much better Fincher film.

    Is Black Swan that impressive?
Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. It's not mind-blowingly impressive, but I found it to be a bit more engaging and original than Social Network. It seems to me that Social Network is being voted best of the year because of a lack of options.

Again....it's wasn't bad, it just wasn't anything we haven't really seen before, you know?
