mint for the record i have changed my opinions on pete doherty, the odd song by the libertines is pretty good - "can't stand me now" and "what a waster" are good updates of the post punk sound. however he is still overrated as hell and i HATE the way he carries himself in interviews - the guy is actually very intelligent but acts like a knob so he looks the part, which is a letdown

can someone tell me what her musical appeal is? She's just doing what Sinatra did 50 years ago, but not as well. I'd never heard any of her music, just hearing about the latest episode in her drunken, drugged up life and all I thought when finally hearing her song was..."is that it?" She's boring both in terms of being a celeb and as a musician - she's not doing anything new on either front as well - ie: both her music and her lifestyle has been done before - and much better by her predcessors might I add. (Rock starts of the 80s have been doing that stuff for years and I think we're kinda bored of it now, if I'm not mistaken?)
