Well, a few months ago MZ pointed me to Spaced on amazon uk and I picked it up - how could I not? What a fantastic show!! I have one player on my main TV that does pal, but I ripped them to my HD and converted them to NTSC for ease of viewing in all my other players. As I watched it, it was funny how many times I said "ahhhh, so that's where that came from in Shaun!" I mean, I knew there would be similarities, but wow, Shaun was just a 90 minute episode of Spaced with Zombies. I tend to agree with MZ - I think they stopped at just the right time. If they were still making Spaced, there'd probably be no Shaun at the moment...

Well.....apparently it may be a while before we get a R1 "Spaced" DVD. While doing a Q&A on another site that I frequent, Edgar Wright was asked about the R1 DVD and he said that it's not be made because of.....the music. Apparently there's some sort of music copyright that's holding it up. He also mentioned that there will NEVER be a Special Edition "Shaun of the Dead". Pegg and Wright never received ANY money for the original release, so now they say to the DVD production company: "F*CK THAT!"

How did they get jipped on DVD sales?! They're either in it, or directed it and wrote it! Music copyright? Lame ... that always gets in the way of genius. Ah well Americaland dwellers, get your asses a region free player and get it from abroad. If importing from Americaland is good enough for us Brits, it's good enough for you Americalanders once in a blue moon.
