Movie looks fucking awesome!!!! Can't wait to see it. The most promising trailer I have seen in a long damn time.

I remember this trailer from almost a year ago and thought it looks pretty decent. Looking forward to checking it out.

I'm gonna try to avoid too much extra spoilage on this one till I get to see it.

Anyone get anymore info on a release date/method?

I loved that Dawn homage at the end of those trailers...

This is looking seriously tasty though, and if those trailers are anything to go by, a shambling paradise too. Big thumbs up here!

looks interesting but all the comparisons to fulci are a bit worrying. fulci was the biggest hack ever to point a film camera at something and i want zero to do with anything that reminds me of that fucking guy.

    on another note:

this got me thinking of another flick that was posted here about a year or so ago. it was some sort of zombie western with wesley snipes. there was a trailer out for it and other promo stuff but it sort of dropped off the radar.

    anyone else remember that?

While I'm certainly not a fan of Lucio Fulci, don't you think it's pushing it a bit (melodrama, much?) to call Fulci the "biggest hack to ever point a film camera at anything"? C'mon, Fragasso and Mattei being better than Fulci? Uwe Boll as being better than Fulci? Why exactly would Fulci be a bigger hack than these atrocious directors (I'm truly curious)?

I think Fulci was a master when it came to gore. Some of his soundtracks to some of his films are fairly entertaining too. Although I agree the majority of his films are just outright bad and/or silly, there were a few things I'd have to give him credit for as a director.

'tis all a matter of subjective taste and opinion. fulci, to me at least, is the bottom of the barrel. gore doesn't do anything for me in a movie. i think that a lot of times gore is used as a crutch for bad acting, bad script, or simply to cover the overall ineptness of a film. i have a much more "old time" sense of horror that relies less on the visual and more on atmosphere and imagination.

so, i stand by my statement. fulci is my least fav director of all time (easily).

Fulci was all about atmosphere (usually to the detriment of everything else, IMO). Although I accept that atmosphere is a subjective thing so I can't argue with that.

Sure. That was not what I was getting at. I never said I'd try to, nor would I.
