Well you'll hear no 'popcorn movie' jokes from me about this one. I think this is genuinely exciting news.

My god..... Romero sucks now and he is trying to Re-make and Italian masterpiece? Romero made 4 great movies (I include Creepshow). He CAN NOT make a Giallo film. Especially as stylized as Argento made them. I absolutely have no words right now to describe the hatred flowing through me. Maybe I will post more later, but I don't know.

I guess this means I have to plan my assassination attempt. I wanted to wait for the fourth Dead film but this takes the fucking cake.

My personal hope is that this movie is 3 hours long with 8 hours of additional director cuts and commentary, and Romero uses that time to get all of his social commentary out, thus clearing the way for a new Dead movie with no need for social agenda. Let him wreck a series I don't particularly care about. Sorry Fulci...

Only a blurb in Variety and already this film delivers like no DEAD flick ever could.

What if Romero doesn't write the script?

Yeah, Claudio has written the script.

I don't think you'll ever get a Dead movie without social commentary. GAR doesn't make zombie movies, he makes allegories with zombies in them.

    Naw, from him?

I will be intently watching the reaction on these boards as well.

That's one of my all time favorite scores and one of the reasons why I always enjoyed Argento films. Whether GAR directs or someone else eventually does I hope they have enough vision to give the soundtrack some respect and not try to update that part too much.

If Fulci were alive, he would be laughing at both Romero and Argento for doing this.

I don't think Fulci ever laughed or smiled at anything in his life

Recent Romero offerings lead me to believe he could add commentary to anything.

But, yeah, I gotta agree with Kraken... no matter how many movies Romero used to promote his commentary agenda there would always be room for more.

He did. He use to make fun of a lot of people; both directors and actors. He also said Bruno Mattei and Claudio Fragasso were natural born creatons.

Now that I think about it, I think Dubious Comforts would have gotten along with him real good.
