Awesome! Submit a report when you finish. It should be a quick read.
Then this will make two of us who actually did.

Currently adapting the book into a film. My question: would you see this movie?

I can't recall enough of the story, having read it 30yrs ago...
Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. It's a tough call, as so many other zombie films have referenced it without meaning to; as I doubt that few of those filmmakers had read the book. So much water under the bridge already, it'd have to be seriously well done and deviate very little from the source material to make folks take notice.

If it looked okay...not too cheap, not too forced, not too poorly acted, then I'd definitely see it.

I promise not to stray away from the source material. Hopefully it makes for a good film. I would have to do it independently but hopefully you all enjoy it for what it is.
