If Sony does get some sort of download content as well then it will be different in every way from what MS paid for. ok, i did not know that rockstar was contracted to produce it for XBL specficly. that pretty much answers my question then.

    thanks.

same could be said for all gta games on the ps2. if anything it wil be limited time exclusive.

If Sony was unwilling to fork over a couple million dollars to keep GTA as a time-exclusive franchise, I highly doubt they would fork over millions to just have download content available. Really, I can't see Sony having download content unless Rockstar themselves announces it. Which brings me back to Sony's answer to Xbox Live which many publishers and developers still haven't heard much about.

Really, its not even what content the PS3 will have or not have that's ****ing me off to the point I will break my streak of getting a new console on Day One. Sony seems to think that because of the PS2 and brand name recognition people should forgo worrying about the high price of the console and the fact that what was promised at the 2005 E3 is not what's going to be in the PS3.

I think the "Grand Theft Auto" games are beginning to run out of decades to base the games in....

What's the next one? "Grand Theft Auto: Jamestown" ?

That's the first large american settlement for you guys that aren't to quick on the draw

    i'd play it.

i only got san andreas the other day and ive found it really easy and really short in 6 hours game time ive unlokced 68% of the game including side missions, vice city lasted mutch longer.

i think the next one will be either 2006 or 1966 only not in enlgand like the ps-one version.

still im much more excited about the sequel to stubbs the zombie.

I'd like to see GTA in the 1970s, just think, they could lampoon the fashions, the porn scene, all sorts. It'd be wicked. They've done the 60s, 80s, 90s and 00s, so they're missing the 70s.

Vice City was the best one I'd say, good story, drenched in "Scarface" cool, great colours, music, style, it was oh so good. While I've really enjoyed San Andreas, I felt it was a bit bloated and the heart of the game wasn't as good as Vice City, which was a classic.

Perhaps it could be set over a few decades following a much broader story? Hmmm ... no doubt Rockstar have already made up their mind, it's at times like these I wished I worked for those guys, hehe.
