They took their sweat ass time walking to the ring. Total bullshit. David Haye is a total joke, who is full of excuses and an over inflated record.

Cool, thanks for the video. It is always a thrill to be present during a fight, especially, if you have good seats. When you watch the fight on tv, then know where I am coming from. I am certain the atmosphere was awesome, but the fight itself, was a snorefest. Haye acted like could not pull the trigger or was too scared. Klitschko did just enough to win the rounds. Haye fell down a lot and was finally given a standing 8 count for it. Haye complains after the fight that he broke his toe in camp three weeks ago and took his boxing shoe off to show it. So, that is his excuse.

    Ok heres the trip report.

This trip was tinged with sadness because on the Wednesday before one of my beloved cats Cactus was diagnosed with cancer. I've opted to go the chemotherapy route with him, which is working already, but i went on this trip with a vastly reduced budget and a constant worry about the old boy. My neighbours kindly did the shuttling to and from the vets while i was away but i think other animal lovers on here can understand the things that were weighing on my mind.

I arrived in Hamburg just after 5 and immediately got a cab to my hotel apartment which has become my preferred method of accomadation when travelling because i don't like the intrusion staying at a hotel has on your schedule. Due to the reduced budget i spent most my time between the hotel and a local petrol station for beer which is outstanding in Germany. The hotel was located far from the town centre so only expensive cab rides would get me into town so i didn't bother with the sights.
Saturday morning was taken up with a long walk into town just to have a nose around and a good soaking from the rain which was to dominate the rest of the weekend.

Saturday afternoon was spent wishing the rain would go away because i knew my seat was in the only open part of the stadium. I'd ordered a cab for 7pm because the VIP area wasn't going to be open until 7.30pm and was waiting in the lobby when i overheard 2 other Brits desperately trying to order a cab. They ended up sharing a cab with me and paying for it out of gratitude. A walk through the pouring rain followed up to the stadium.

Through the security check and now to find the VIP area. After a bit of a walk i found the entrance got my wristband

and walked into the VIP area.
    WOW.
    Picture the scene.
What seemed like hundreds of beautiful model like hostess' catering to everyones needs. Turn around and there was one of these hostess' ready to take your drink and give you another. All included with the ticket. Every drink you could think of. Champagne, cocktails, beer, wine, shorts. You name it. It was there and flowing constantly. Food was available and you could go upstairs and have a sit down meal. Again all included. I then started to recognise faces. Niki Lauda, John Conteh, Kalle Sauerland (promoter) and Paulie Malignaggi (with me below).

Rest to follow later as i've got to take the cat to the vets.

    Part 2

After gorging myself on everything there was to offer, it was time to explore the stadium pitch area

You can see the Sky broadcast team including Carl Froch in the photo below

I watched at bit of the undercard and tried to get a pic of Ashley Sexton walking to the ring but failed

By now it had started raining again so i retreated back to the VIP section to indulge myself and wait for the main event. On my way back i took some video and photos of the British end in the stands.

As the main event drew closer you could feel the tension and excitement rise so i headed to my seat to get ready. Let me just say that the security was shocking at pitch level. No-one was sat down and it was a free for all. This just added to the intensity of the moment.

    Part 3

The light show was crazy. Not to mention the fireworks.

    More craziness

George Foreman and Lennox Lewis in the ring.

MIchael Buffer doing his thing and the famous "ready to rumble"

From this point on i was just interested in watching the fight so i only took 1 photo

I had a superb time (even with the shite security) and K2 promotions are a credit to the sport if this is how they arrange all their events. I would consider going to another no matter who they are fighting. VIP of course

The only pro world champion I have trained with is Babalu Sobral. I trained with him a couple weeks ago when he visited from California. He is a former Strikeforce lightheavy weight champion in mma. He showed me how to use boxing to set up takedowns. It is pretty cool to train with elites when the opportunity comes around. I am glad to read you had a great time. I would had loved to attend in person. I have never traveled to Europe before.

I dunno about that. I know he got knocked down twice but he could've made it to the end of the round, he was only seconds away. He also didn't look that bad off, he got up pretty quick both times. I'm not saying he wasn't starting to get his ass handed to him, but that was a bit premature.
    Let 'em fight, I say.

Its not the refs job to take into account how much time is left in the round. Its completely irrelevant. He's there to judge whether the fighter can continue without being hurt more in that moment. You do this by asking the fighter to put his hands up and take a step forward. Del Boy stumbled back at this point. Instant stoppage. No need for him to take more of what was already a sustained beating. The fact that he needed oxygen and medical attention after backs up the refs decision. A very good stoppage by the ref and a classic example of a fighter who needs to be protected from himself.
Loved the punch that started the end. Haye moving away to his left, quickly switched to southpaw and threw a left hook/straight left as Del Boy came in. A perfect example of walking onto a punch. Its credit to Chisora that he got up from that. The man has a granite chin and has never been down let alone KO'd.

Not much of a stumble, I'd say.
The guy was swinging back at him, I didn't even think those last hits he took were all that bad. The guy was definitely trying to make it to the next round. I didn't see anything other than this round so I have no idea if he was being manhandled the whole fight, but what I said still stands: Let 'em fight. He could've easily made it to the next round.
I'd at least want a rematch if I were him.

Im going to assume if you're reading this thread, you have a passing interest in boxing so if you haven't seen Pacquiao v Marquez IV you need to track it down immediately and watch it.
    What are you waiting for?
    Goooooo.

    Incredible fight.
