Hey man, better late than never, that's why my mom always told me.

It looks like I'm going to lose this bet. Like I need any more iron in my fucking diet.

There's still a huge cloud of "WTF?!" floating over that "The Mountain Music Project: A Musical Odyssey from Appalachia to Himalaya" flick and how it garnered so many damn votes for this thing. Are there that many hillbillies our there?!

Dude, the classically trained musical community is deep & well-connected, especially in this day and age. They refer one another for gigs, cross-mentor and back each other up when it comes to their various projects or anything that might support 'the arts'. Of course, I mention this because I assume classically trained and educated folks are probably going the driving the force behind such a project.

I'm a classically trained guitarist (well, for 7 years I was) - how come no one referred me to gigs? cross-mentored me? Bastards left me out in the cold, dammit! It's my long hair, I knew it!

lol, seriously, if it was a movie about Top 40 music then I could understand the sheeple coming out in droves to vote, but really, how popular is Appalachian and Himalayan music? I can honestly say as musically cultured as I am (yes, I listen to anything aside from rap, country and opera) I can't remember the last time I heard anything Appalachian or Himalayan.

More power to 'em, 'cause they're rising to the challenge, but they don't stand a chance against the DJ Marketing Machine (tm)!

Not for long! When you're power is out for 2 days and you can't push people and aren't in their face, the votes fall off 'cause they think the job is done. Well, it's not yet! Don't let the Hillbillies win! Besides, Dj makes better moonshine.

Wait a second...is voting closed? I can't scroll down off the original link to vote anymore, it just gives me results.

No, voting isn't closed I think until the end of August. Sometimes, if you try and vote a second time within a 24 hour period, it will only take you to the results page.

You can always try clearing your internet cache & cookies and see if that helps. Sometimes it does for me.
