Something people may or may not know, but I was watching Top Gear yesterday (as always) and when they were picking the new Bond after Sean Connery (which Moore won as we all know), one of the last 6 was that explorer chap - Ranulph Fiennes, but the Brocoli guy said no because Fiennes' hands were too big and he had the face of a farmer, lol. Interesting tidbit I thought... But you forget that George Lazenby was chosen to play Bond in "OHMSS", but then Connery came back for "Diamonds Are Forever". THEN Roger Moore came in with "Live and Let Die". So do you mean he was almost chosen for "OHMSS" or for "Live and Let Die"? Not to mention, Connery came back once more for "Never Say Never Again". But that was a different production company and it wasn't up to par with the other films. Plus, Connery's hair peice was distracting as all hell in that movie.

See, this is what I mean by not being into the pre-Brosnan bonds (yet anyway). All I know is that in the interview he said that Moore won out over him, so I presume it must have been for the movie that Moore first appeared in as Bond.
