This looks like a way better zombie movie than at least the last 2 romero zombie flicks.

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. Oh, and then there is *Celebrity Cameo*. It's not so much a mystery if
you go to IMDB, but one of the finer points of the film is how it is
built up, revealed, and followed through on. The film manages to
exploit the fact that the celebrity has a history with Columbia,
leading to some great shout-outs to earlier films
    .
Hrm. This pretty much confirms the rumor that's been going around concerning a reference to one of my favorite films.

It's looking good, though! Another zomedy to add to the growing list...

Hopefully this really will be a good, fun zombie comedy.

I'll say it again - I heard "Woody Harrelson" and I heard "zombie kill of the week" and saw the piano drop on a zed's head, and I was SOLD on it.

Yeah, this movie looks fantastic. The "Army of Darkness" for this decade. And with zombies. I cannot imagine anyone better suited for this than Woody.

    Cool.

As I've said many a time, I'm up for this movie and was sold very quickly on the idea of it with Woody, and the "zombie kill of the week" line.

Bring it - November 27th in the UK I think it is...

I see what the film-makers were thinking:

"What is it that Romero's fans are missing in his movies?"
Answer: "Wide-scale destruction and guilt-free, good-time zombie killing."

Whether that's a good thing or not, I dunno. Looks like they've ticked all the right boxes, though.

And to think when this was originally greenlit it was set for DTV... now its getting awesome press, the release was moved up 4 weeks, and the word of mouth from sneak peak screenings is that the film is really good.

This may be THE zombie film of 2009

Yes, yes. I'm all excited too. I just hope that all decently budgeted zombie films (that is to say any zombie film with an actual budget ), in the foreseeable future will not have to adhere to the zomedy model.

My friends got to see this movie during a sneak peek last night and went as far as to say it is better than Shaun of the Dead... sounds promising. Unfortunatly I had to work so I was unable to go
