So how do you see it all ending?

Ive just been spouting that "the singularity is near" because its the name of this book Ive been reading.... Its not fiction...but its like one of those prediction type books...using mathematical models to predict the progression and effect of technology....and the book is called "The Singularity is Near"....and its about how technology is growing expotentially....and that we are reaching the knee of this curve(where growth rapidly becomes nearly parrallel with the y axis)... And so the book is about machine intelligence becoming indistinguishable from human intelligience...essentially the two become one....and when this happens the way existence is defined will totally be unearthed and changed....... Its a really interesting book....and its hard to make it uncomplicated....but its really exciting stuff... I thought you were spouting biblical rhetoric (i.e. armeggedon, single government, blah blah). I think the downfall of the human race is definately going to be a huge war where everyone's shooting projectiles at each other, probably all due to misunderstanding. This South Korea nuclear test is just 'wtf?'. I'm not religious and never have been (personally, I think that you can 'see' whatever you want to see when someone else suggests it, just like 'pictures' in clouds...if you say you can see satan's face in a cloud then point to it, 99% of the time, you'll get the reaction "oh, wow...now I see it!"). Simply put, greed and intolorance and revenge is probably going to be the end of humans and even those like me who couldn't give two ****s about corrupt governments (of which are in control of how/when we fight) will end up in the cross fire and die, for no other reason than because of some politicians trying to flex all up in some other country's face. If it IS a virus, you can be garanteed that the/a government had something to do with it. Isn't it poetic?

I'm not religious and never have been (personally, I think that you can 'see' whatever you want to see when someone else suggests it, just like 'pictures' in clouds...if you say you can see satan's face in a cloud then point to it, 99% of the time, you'll get the reaction "oh, wow...now I see it!"). Hehe Yeah If I posted as often as I use to youd know that Im about as unreligious as one can be...I can hardly believe in myself... I just see it this way... Other than a massive meteor impact or devastating world enveloping volcano I have trouble invisioning a total downfall of the human race...Everything else will leave breedable populations of humans alive...and records of nearly all of our technology will remain... And since science is nearlly impossible to stop it seems probable that we will become more and more in sync with our machines...
