i see that some of you find my honesty disturbing. that's your problem not mine. frankly, i don't care if romero never made any money off his older films. again, that's his problem not mine. I agree that if he would have been a better business man that he would have an empire to rival that of George Lucas. But to keep screwing him is not right. Shouldn't artists reap the rewards of their intellectual property? Now I'm not saying all of them, as you said, i could care less. But certain artists such as Gar that we follow deserve it, imo.

Yeah. The way I see it - he's brought me many, many hours of enjoyment and anticipation, so I naturally wish him well in return and want to see him reap the rewards of his hard work. While I might well download the film if I was unable to afford/find a copy to buy, I would sure as hell buy a copy as soon as I found it/could afford it/came down in price. Sure, my buying his DVD is not going to make a big difference in the grand scheme of things, but hey - it's just like voting, right?

guy means no more to me than anyone else. in fact, the life changes i've been going through have included a massive re-evaluation of how i feel about these movies and most of them are coming up way short of the target. to be brutally honest: neither romero nor his movies are the reason i come to this place. i give less of a shit about romero and his movies by the day. i come here because i like the vast majority of you quite a bit and enjoy the interaction. it's the people here. i would not have come here for 10 years now just to repeatedly have conversations that go something like this: "it's 3 am, you have two shells left, your lexus is out of gas and you are surrounded by zombies. what do you do?"

I've not seen much of that on here and THIS is why I immigrated here from All Things Zombie. It started out as a fun, intelligent site with smart discussion of films, etc. and slowly became, well... this: http://www.allthingszombie.com/forum...splay.php?f=14 To be honest, that sort of stuff is pretty interesting to me...for a little while, but wears thin pretty quickly. I could spend all afternoon at work reading through a lot of those posts, but...I'm glad things are pretty chill here with regards to that sort of conversation, as that sort of shit gets annoying with the tangents it usually evokes and probable chest beating that it all too often leads to.

To be honest, that sort of stuff is pretty interesting to me...for a little while, but wears thin pretty quickly. I could spend all afternoon at work reading through a lot of those posts, but...I'm glad things are pretty chill here with regards to that sort of conversation, as that sort of shit gets annoying with the tangents it usually evokes and probable chest beating that it all too often leads to. It was interesting at first. You know, it let you use your imagination. Then it just snowballed. It got very repetitive, with the same scenarios and arguments being discussed again and again. It became an antisocial survivalism board, basically, with zombies as a very thin pretext. It brought a lot of weird people to the forum, people who knew all about digging bunkers but nothing about actual zombie movies. The mods tried to deal with it by creating a sub-forum dedicated to Zombie Survival and Defence, to keep it all neatly contained away from the main discussions, but the result was that the S&D forum became like a massive parasitic tumour that sucked the life out of the rest of the board. So I made my exit.

Well if survival doesnt get a us dvd release i offer to pull out 2 vcrs to constantly make copies to spread the gospel of this flaming turd. anyways it getting a xbox release, wouldnt suprise me if he breaks even on the xbox downloads alone.<Even if it a steaming turd there alot of interest in it with the web traffic
