Just because a show has "horror"-like elements doesn't mean it's horror.

I always considered "Buffy" to be more of a drama series, and as a drama I thought it was sharp and often witty (especially the dialogue) but I've never mistaken it as being "horror" before.

    j.p.

Go watch the award winning episode 'hush', it might change your mind, its one of my favourite episodes in all 7 seasons.

Ah yes, Hush. The episode that gave me my first nightmare (seriously! And that was just the TV spot!)
Great one, that. One of the best for "horror" in the series.

Or The Buffy Musical could be ... (depending on what you think of musicals in general. )
In my opinion, as Hush was definitely the best, with the gimmick of every person in Sunnydale being rendered mute, The Musical also was the best, with several key plot points deftly drawn out in song.
Amber Benson(Tara ) and Anthony Stewart Head ( Gile ) more than showed their vocal worth while James Marsters (Spike ) rocked it out as well.
Later I was watching some celeb homage to The Rocky Horror Picture Show( a sorta casual sing along ) when who should show up to sing a number or two but Amber and Anthony.

(Yoda voice): Awards not make one great.

After 7 seasons of screwing around, the audience should expect at least several decent episodes. Even the best television series don't always receive that luxury, but then you're probably not old enough to remember Millennium and American Gothic.

Which horror films and tv programs aren't largely drama-based? Without a solid drama, what have you got, smart guy?

Of all people -- you, the guy that started this thread complaining about Twilight should realize that it's never about what the audience classifies as "horror." It's about what the Hollywood big-wigs classify as "horror."

In the 1970s, no major studio would finance a horror film until Alien struck gold. You can argue that Alien isn't "horror," either, but that won't change the fact it's responsible for spawning a ton of great horror films. Films made for adults.

Unfortunately, the studios now see bankable "horror" films as Twilight. Fodder made for the tween mentality. So where do you think that silly idea came from? Hello? Are we learning yet?

With Wesley Snipes just standing behind them, staring awe at their unrequited love for each other? If you zoom in on his face, I bet that you can see a tear stream down his cheek.

    Well, Hell.

She ran Angel through with a bloody big sword once ... and shoved him into a Hell dimension.
We know how that turned out, he got his own series.

Maybe Faith could stake Bella as well?

As for the girl....I've always thought she was kinda cute. If she's a dude, that's one dude I would like to diddle.

I think the dude in the middle could easily pass as a woman.

This movie is full of androgynous characters, isn't it? WTF?!
