Another indication there is something wrong with society at the moment...

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. Man, WTF?! I hope he gets raped in prison and pissed on. And that goes for the others who stood around and didn't do sh!t. If I had been there I would have beat the living crap out of that guy. And put that on youtube.

That's what scares me most... A one of f***wit like this is to be expected... But for so many other random people passing by to accept what is happening, and laugh at it, is very worrying!

Maybe they only saw the shaving foam bit... Maybe they didn't see the rest...

Even so, but someone lying on the ground and being covered in shaving cream. When common sense tells you that this person most likely needs medical help...

I would imagine that no one intervened because a... most people hate confrontation because they're followers and b... they'd think they'll be next to get pist on while some jackass films and then they'll be made fun of on youtube...

This guy will prolly get his in prison... annnnd if not eventually in death
You smell that? That's the smell of spring, and I love it. You know what I love to do in spring? I love to come out into the woods, to walk amongst the budding trees, to smell and taste the hint of renewal that hovers in the air like a heady perfume, and to listen to the song of the birds who have returned from their long sojourn south. And bury the people I killed during the winter...

In most cases, you're right. But what about if it's late at night? I know I would at first probably think that the person got drunk and passed out, so her friends are f*cking with her.

My friends and I do that. Well....we don't piss on each other, but we do other mean sh*t to the person that couldn't handle their alcohol...

That reminds me. I am currently pledging for frat and during our rush party one particular plegde shows up several hours late w/ a b.s. excuse. So, people are already pissed at him and one of the rules was to take off your shoes at this one guy's place and don't pass out with them on. Well he does, so some of the guys drew a penis on his forehead. Now he is known as that guy who had a penis drawn on his forehead.

    sad

she was dead no matter what
even if they had called an ambulance
pancreatitis is usually fatal even if she had
the attack while in the hospital its doubtful she would have lived
its usually caused by extreme alcoholism but it has not been
    said this was the case

i could see throwing water on her if it was a true attempt to
    revive her
but the whole golden showers thing is just wrong and the product
    of a really sadistic mind
the shaving cream just re enforces the fact that this man was
    a sadist towards women

behaviour like that is typical of men with sexual identiy issues
i am not saying he is for sure but the evidence points to the
conclusion that he is a sadist and quite possibly suffering from gender issues

the bystander apathy is unfortunatley typical of many people
    something i could never understand
i am no saint and never claimed to be and never will be
but more times than I can count I have come across
a person in trouble and have helped, even at risk to myself
it is truly something i cant understand how you could see someone
in need of help and do nothing or worse laugh

    the whole thing is sad

God, that's sick. I'd be in jail if I stumbled across this. I'd beat the guy half to death.

The fact that a crowd watched this woman get abused makes me sick!

Not too long ago there was a tragic case here in Los Angeles where a preeteen girl and her brother were forced into an SUV by her unbalanced father who then doused the car with gasoline and set it on fire. Both children were killed. This incident too was witnessed by a crowd of people who stood by and watched and did nothing. Later they were all interviewed by a tv reporter, and appeared very happy to recount the gruesome details of what had occured.

Often, I think about the group dynamic whenever I see someone pushing a disabled car down the street. If no one steps up to assist the guy pushing the car, then the driver will be alone in the street. But have one person step up then suddenly other "samaritans" appear and jump in to help.

So in these situations, maybe it only takes one person to go out on a limb and intercede in order to get the group moving.

If this is the case, then we should all resolve to be that one person who can singlehandedly turn the tide and shake the crowd out of inaction. Maybe the world is doomed, maybe it isn't but without taking action we are all but resigning ourselves to being helpless to do anything about it. In this regard, without taking decisive action it inevitably becomes our fault that the world is doomed.
