    (REC)4 Apocalypse (film)

I get a bit of an "oh dear" feeling from this trailer.

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. Oh for pete's sake someone pick up a camera! Rec 3 might have worked for me if they hadn't smashed the camera.

    I'll give it a go.
Rec 1&2 were great. 3rd was a turd.

So basically REC 1 and 2 on a boat, minus the driven-into-the-ground 'found footage' format that I'm absolutely sick to death of.

REC 1 was very good, despite a couple of irksome moments, and REC 2 was very good except for the stuff with those bloody kids messing about ... seriously, the entire time those kids are on-screen in REC 2 it's a total turd fest, but as soon as they're gone the movie gets back on track ... why on earth they felt the need to put those god-awful annoying kids into the second movie, I don't know.

REC 3 I've not seen. Heard very mixed things about it. Only know that they got rid of the found footage nonsense and that it's at a wedding and there's a bloody bride with a chainsaw.

Hey ... "Bloody Bride With A Chainsaw" - there's a good grindhouse movie title.

Somebody stump up some dosh and I'll get my fingers wagglin'...

Actually, I'd really rather like the opportunity to write a grindhouse type movie and get paid for it. That'd be sweet!
