My big issue with it was it was an advertisement for the third one. I'm not going to bother. NOT a family/kids movie, that's for sure, even though it's been pushed here as such. In the first few minutes, there was a crow plucking the eye out of a living guy, and eating the flesh of another, a beheading, a scene of "convert and serve or die"... very dark, and not a whole lot of fun.

It seems like anymore thast movies are made to just sell products. Like one big advertisement to buy the toys, dolls, food etc... and not about entertainment anymore.. I liked the movie but it was nothing special. Also is not Davey Jones and the Flying Dutchman really two seperiate stories unrelated to one another? They have Davey Jones as the captian of the ship. I don't know. Maybe I am wrong.

You do realize you're complaining about this on a forum for a website dedicated to gorey zombie flicks............. right?

Huh? It's no more an "advert" for a third film than other "middle" films in a trilogy has been? Cast your mind back to maybe "The Empire Strikes Back", which has more loose ends than an unfinished jumper! The purpose of this film - being in the middle - is to have a good ride, but leave some doors open for the third. As for the films contents, and I guess that's why it's a PG13?
