    Bub... MEGO style

Any child of the 70' remember MEGO toys (8" spider-man, super man, batman etc.). I decided to make Bub using a MEGO body and some spit and glue....
I sculpted the head and did the paint myself... I never did get around to casting, so this is just paint over Super Sculpty. I also want to age the jacket and pants and find a proper chain.

i had to sculpt the head two times... the first one was a bit too big. all total it took aprox. two days. i plan on casting the head in resin in the near future so that i can make several copies...

Nice work. Gotta love the Mego style, and your Bub is a great interpretation of that style.

It's hard to tell from the photos, but you may want to smooth out the detail before casting. The heads on those 70s Megos had a smoother, rubbery look. Paint job looks perfect, though.

Any other characters in the works?

Don't forget to add a pull-apart Rhodes figure!
