I agree with Fulci Fan! DJ, those are some intense numbers. Good luck!

How are you going to finance this film? I know next to nothing about how the movie industry works, but I do know how much money that is.

    and it is ALOT.

Impressive run-down there, Deej. How about some contingency money in case of re-shoots or things taking a bit longer than expected?

Damn dude ... seeing what you got for a few grand on DL2, the prospect of a million dollar DL flick makes me moist.

LOL... MOIST eh? You know MZ, we all love you and all, but some things are just best left unsaid... you know?

Everything in that budget includes money for re-shoots.

Honestly MZ, I probably won't even burn through that $973,000.00. If I get it my goal is to bring the film in at $700,000.00 and have the left over as a cushion for re-shoots or promotion, but based on cost that is what the numbers work out to be, but it doesn't mean I won't pull a clint eastwood and try to get done ahead of schedule and under budget.

Hey, being moist is always something to be proud of.

Well it certainly sounds like you've got your head screwed on with this budget. I think more studios should be funding "low budget" (for them anyway) features like what you're proposing here.

Well, things are looking up, that I can say. Many of my facebook fans for the group I started are behind it and some of the former extras from both films wanna hold fundraisers to help get the budget together.

I tell you MZ, I am going to go full bore trying to get this done. WE WILL BE SHOOTING DEADLANDS 3 by next spring. I hope it is sooner, but I have a year to get it all in place, and if it is the last thing I do on this planet... I am getting this film made.

UPDATE: Funny... you mention having every nook and cranny covered, and I realized I forgot to budget the Storyboard artist... so I just added another $2,000.00 to the budget bringing it to $975,000.00

If you can't find anyone for story boards, I am always available. I can always look for people too. I know some artists around here.

I do mind stick figures and I did find a storyboard artist... pretty cheap too, willing to do it for around $75.00 per frame.
