Maybe some SWAT guy shot him in the head after they moved his body off somewhere.

Because GAR zombies don't turn that fast, 'we' the viewer was in the 'presence' of his body for about 2 minutes, then we cut off to other places and then off to the docks. No doubt they shot him in the head, but the reason we didn't see it is that GAR's zombies don't turn that fast - also especially as he wasn't bitten, just shot.

He was most likely shot afterwards, but that scene and Wooley's going nuts prior to that reminded me of why the epidemic just got out of control. Alot of the gunfire, especially when Martinez and his group tried to escape through the roof, weren't intended for headshots. How many zombies were created in the early days of the epidemic were due to people dying by gunfire but not through headshots.

Sort of gives abit more resonance to the old priest's words to Roger and Peter. I always thought that preist never meant that people should suddenly start being nice to everyone if they were to win the war. I think he meant they just had to stop randomly killing each other when there's a bigger threat involved. Justified killing a-ok, but random killing is a no-no.

Then the mythology in DAWN 2004 would be logical. However, GAR has said no matter how you die you come back. Hanging guy in LOTD anyone?

So he had to of comeback we just didn't see them put a bullet in his head.

If you had to get bit to be a zombie, there would be NO zombies.

Wooly probably got it in the head, but GAR cut away. You can;t show everything

    Rules:
GAR's zombie movies - all dead bodies will rise, it may be immediately after death or hours.
Dawn remake - The zombie pandemic took the world by storm, everywhere reported it happening. The two that died in the Mall were a signal that the phenomenon that caused it was all over the zombies still exist, their bites still kill but noone dead from natural causes will rise. When they go in, Ana says "If they were going to rise they'd have done so by now." and Terry says "but they'll still turn into those things right?".

Because you have to die first. You can't just get bit and turn without dying. Rogers wound was somewhat minor so it took forever for the infection (both natural and zombie) to spread through the rest of his body. Same with the rest.

Well, we saw Wolley shot...but that doesn't necessarily mean that we saw him die.

sven I don't agree on some of your points, but this one I must. Great point! We never saw him after he was taken away. In GAR's movies they all come back. Remember in night that Mrs. Cooper was not bitten, but she came back. Wooley may have came back. It is a mystery not to be solved.

I thought the priest said it better:

"When the dead walk, seņores, we must stop the killing or lose the war."

I don't think he speaks of morals so much as simple logistics: the more people die, the more zombies there will be. By fighting, they only create more of their true enemy.

    As for the Wooley thing...

Once he's killed, his character no longer serves a purpose so he's merely forgotten. Perhaps Romero didn't feel obliged to show something (Wooley's resurrection) for its own sake - though it would have been cool.

thank you!!, thats exactly why i hate those 'its a virus, oh **** i got bit' zombie films, because if zombies ate there victims they wouldnt be in such large numbers unless some just got up from the dead without zombie interference.

I agree, some what like how people say we evolved from monkeys, when in reality, if we evolved form monkeys, there would be no monkeys now!
