im really sick and tired of ohio, you pay law enforcement salaries and they turn a blind eye to people taking your hard earned vehicle. anyone ever have a car stolen?

Sorry Ace, didn't really mean to make (completely) light of your situation. I've been really busy at work so it's been hit & run posting all day. Never had one stolen, but have had one broken into. Yes, it sucks. Don't blame it just on Ohio though. Things pretty much suck everywhere in this day, age & economy IMO. Oh, c'mon dude. It wasn't meant to be taken seriously. We're just ribbin' ya. Well dont sweat it dude. We all got our labels. Im an asshole who thrives on road rage. You get known for certain things here. Its part of this places....naive charm (to quote RHPS). But yes I have had a car stolen Then it was used in a bank robbery Then it was smashed into a pole during a police chase. Then it sat in the police impound yard for months they didnt bother to notify us, the insurance company inquired about it and the response from the cops was "oh yeah been sitting here for a few months" (great work guys dont contact me or anything) and then...it was sent to this repair shop that just so happened to be under investigation by the state police and was used as evidence in them billing insurance companies for work not done or done wrong (radiator held in with bread ties) I saw my car on the news like 4 times and was like.... "Am I ever getting this thing back?" Well it got so bizzare that it became humorous. I had a rental that was paid for and I ended up with the car fully repaired and a LARGE payment for my troubles. So in the end, I guess to your answer is 'Yes, I have had my car stolen'

I had a car stolen in 2010, it even had Lojack on it and the cops couldn't find it. After the insurance company paid up... where does the car turn up, well what was left of it... in the impound lot and had been sitting there for over 3 months, the insurance company informed me it was found 2 days after being reported stolen, but the DC police and the impound lot never put the car into the system so everytime I called they said nope... no car with that vin or plate here. But when they went to auction it off a red flag came up on the vin and there it sat, buried in the back of the lot and no one did their job properly... not it is all a moot point because the car would have been a Total Loss anyway because it would have had to be 80% rebuilt. I know how you feel dude, the worst part is, some of my filming equipment was in the car... so I lost some gear, but losing the car sucked too and the fact the cops and impound lot never did their job pissed me off more.

Exactly DJ The car was found the next day by the police and put in their impound lot and they never bothered to inform me even tho I filled out like 10 different reports. its like 'oh yea we got that car, had it for months now" Great work guys. Now if you only told me you had it the day after it was stolen would really have been awesome.

I've only ever had my car broken into & radio grabbed, so I can't really imagine how having the thing whole auto stolen would suck. In the case of my stolen radio, however, they caught the kids who did it and I wrote a nice sentencing recommendation to the presiding judge

Ace, you've been away from the westside long enough to forget how little the LAPD care about stolen cars? Don't think it's just the cops in Ohio, brother- stolen cars and stolen belongings are pretty much the last priority for cops in any big city. Guess they got too much on their plate. Wonder if it is the same for small town 5-0. Like in Mayberry maybe a stolen car is priority one?
