STALKER - hands on at IGN...

http://www.actiontrip.com/link.phtml.../712884p1.html Just read this IGN preview of the game, although they themselves weren't allowed to play it hands on, they saw someone else play it behind the scenes at E3 and have only just been allowed to put up this article (perhaps GSC etc were waiting until it was more definate that STALKER would actually come out - that's what I'm taking from reading between the lines). It sounds like a cool game, I can't wait to play it...hopefully it won't suck. As for graphics, they say it's still pretty, but with all the delays it won't stand up against the likes of Prey, Crysis or FEAR ... which is hardly surprising, but HL2 doesn't stand up against those and it looks awesome. So hopefully this will mean STALKER will handle just fine on my rig without being p*ssed off after waiting for years only to find out it won't run. Fingers crossed lads!

I look forward to it like Labour looks forward to the re-election. I know it's coming, I expect good things for it, but I'm still going to be dissapointed in the end.

Well, I'll get my mits on the demo as soon as it rocks up on Torrents. Also, there's a demo of "Prey" coming soon, this week perhaps, as well. I wanna try it out, see if it works on my computer - it uses the Doom3 engine (but apparently heavily modified - looks like the same to me, ha!), hopefully I can handle it as I'd like to give that game a poke or two, but I'd much rather "do" STALKER. Roll on the demo says I! At last, after f*cking ages, it seems to be coming!
