How long do you think it will be until the price drop is significant enough for us to be able to afford it (excluding DJ of course ) Might get a little messy while doing the porn thing though. Make sure you wipe it good and clean before company comes over, That's all i'm saying.

    i hate technology!

It forces me to learn something that will become obsolete in a short amount of time...

i wonder what would happen if i spilled coffee on my touch screen table?
You smell that? That's the smell of spring, and I love it. You know what I love to do in spring? I love to come out into the woods, to walk amongst the budding trees, to smell and taste the hint of renewal that hovers in the air like a heady perfume, and to listen to the song of the birds who have returned from their long sojourn south. And bury the people I killed during the winter...

What's to learn? An ape could figure it out, you just do the most basic of human expression, touch.

$5,000 to $10,000 starting out. How much was the first plasma or HDTV? $5,000 to $10,000, now every fool seems to have one.

It wouldn't take that long for the price to drop. Look at HD DVD players, they are dropping everyday I believe. Look at the first VCR or DVD players. They started out at $1,000 and you can get a DVD player today for $30. (A plastic one, but still a DVD player at that!)

my photos dont get to the table thru osmosis

I'd have to upload something to the table i'm sure. Unless it gets everything wirelessly from the digi cam I dont know how to use because I refuse to read the instructions. Its those simple things that are hard to use. Like my cell phone ... I dont know the lock code for it and can't access some phone numbers... I didnt even lock it lol

Man your like an old person so stubborn to the onslaught of new technology...''Urh whar...whats dis computing thingamagig!". Hahah....

I usually dont read instructions either....but usually you can just fiddle with things long enough to figure them out....

And yeah they said that those cameras and phones work wirelessly.....

and it looks like theres a glass panel over top of the actual 'surface' so you could spill a liquid on it with no probelm....

    yep thats me!

It all happened when I was a child... we had this TV that took up the entire wall of our bonus room and it was really difficult to work and me and my brother weren't ever allowed to touch it. Unfortunately for my family I really wanted to see the world premier of Michael Jacksons 'black or white' music video (so embarassing) and I got it on the TV and watched it and went to change the channel and accidentally pushed something on the controller and broke it. I was racked with guilt for weeks my dad had to call in some special technician and while I tried to blame it on my older brother it didn't work. I had to sit in the backseat of the car with no radio permission for MONTHS. Ever since i'm scared of technology...

it hasn't helped that over the years since then I screwed up many other things like...

i spill something into my computer keyboard regularly and buy wireless keyboards so often i was a guest at the baby shower for the couple that owned the computer store

i drove all the way to work with the parking break on before figuring it out

i spilled something on the phone cord one day and while the one end was plugged into the wall i licked the other end (i'm so stupid) and got the shock of a lifetime

i was trying to start my car and it didnt work ... one alternator and new battery later my mom reamed me about not reading the little thingies on the dash but who the hell knows how to read those... another alternator and battery later I learned how to read them and how to take Pep Boys by the testicles and force them to give me a free repair for bad previous repairs

when i bought my first dvd player 2 years ago i was all excited when i got home and then i looked at the cords and (i blame this on my stupidity and my ignoring the instructions) it took me like 3 hours to figure out how to plug it in

me and technology... it just doesn't work... maybe it could if I was the kinda person that read instructions but lets face it... i'm not and never will be lol

Can you imagine how much gradual neck pain you would get playing fps games on Surface?

    Me either

Although I do not deny that it will find a niche somewhere; I'd rather use a Mouse.

That seems like a lot of work for such simple tasks

I was thinking the same thing. It looks very uncomfortable, especially for traditional applications like gaming. I wouldn't want to use that thing for more than a few minutes. It's definitely a good idea though. I wonder what future iterations of this technology will be like? I'm sure they'll get plenty of consumer feedback and adjust accordingly.
