I think I'm going to be sick...(arachnophobes beware, MZ)

I just discovered we have these around here...

Their scientific name is Dolomedes Tenebrosus. But their "street" name is Fishing Spider. They get this name because they can walk on water AS WELL AS dive under the water and stay there for up to 30 minutes without having to resurface for air.

These spiders bodies are, apparently, an INCH in length and at least THREE INCHES in leg-span. I am going to have nightmares!

I caught this big spider crawling across my face last night....

I was asleep.....and it was big enough that when walking across my closed eye it caused me to wake....I just kindof grabbed it and threw it onto the floor and rolled over to go back to bed.... Id rather it be in my room than the bugs it eats.....but if it woke me up again I would kill it....

Thats generally my rule.....they generally get two chances then death ...but that night I was in a bad mood....

Another time the same dumb spider disturbed my sleep three times in the night(Im a very light sleeper).....so I had to kill it....

    hehe

In the Galopagos there's like one hotel and the hotel is crawling with huge spiders... guess where they go in the dark of night when you're sleeping...

Oh where was i? man that would freak me out. I hate bugs and there's so damn many of them! Spiders are the worst though. I think when I kill them they come back and haunt me ...which explains why I feel one on me every now and then. Or i'm becoming a schitzo either is a possibility.
You smell that? That's the smell of spring, and I love it. You know what I love to do in spring? I love to come out into the woods, to walk amongst the budding trees, to smell and taste the hint of renewal that hovers in the air like a heady perfume, and to listen to the song of the birds who have returned from their long sojourn south. And bury the people I killed during the winter...

Are they venomous? If not there's nothing to worry about. You can actually use the situation to your advantage and protect the woman folk. Just don't let them see tears while you fight them off. If they do see them though play the sensitive role and say you weep whenever innocent life is taken SCORE!!!

what woman wants to see a man cry?

dude there's nothing funnier than a man crying especially if he thinks he's going to score points for doing it

I'm just saying if he must there's a way to try and spin it so as not to make himself look like a tool. Funny though, a strong woman like yourself, I would have put money on that you would have had more of a problem with the whole woman needing to be saved from a bug portion of my post. See how dense men are?

so a hero is a tool?

I think since a good deal of females are scurred of bugs any man willing to exterminate such tiny offenders would be a total hero and thus win the affections of his lady love... or the chick who begged him to help her...

its like when a fireman rescues a cat from a tree... he's not being a tool he's just trying a new way to win a woman

No, a man trying to be a hero who breaks down and tries during the process of being a hero is.

I think I'd come damn close to it.

I would, at very least, scream like Daniel Stern in Home Alone when the tarantula crawls across his chest.
