    The Great One?

    http://www.orlandosentinel.com/commu...0,221180.story

    What? WHAT?!

Why didn't they report on this before the election?

I can sense them out there ... like sharks waiting to begin a feeding frenzy when Mr. Obama fails to live up to his "Messiah" promises. He should have called me first and I would have warned him to NOT trust the Marxist media. They made him what he is, now they're going to eat him alive ... and he hasn't even taken office yet ... poor guy.

Ahh, fladkafdk him. He's gonna be a one timer anyway and he'll be so overly concerned about being a middle-of-the-road kinda dude that he will probably do more damage than good in his four years. Now he's reaching out to ex-Clinton cronies to populate his admin. The change I have in my pocket is more change than he'll deliver. One timer. Mark my words.

Just like George W? I think that if he of all people can can re-elected, anyone can. Give the guy a chance. Really, how much worse can we get here?

Really, would you rather take a chance on the next four years being anything remotely close to the last eight? You have to admit, things have gotten really bad with the republicans in charge. With John McCain's voting record, how in the world could things have changed? That's right, it couldn't have. So why not take a chance at change? What do we have to lose?

On a lighter note, the approval rating of the republican party as a whole is at an all-time low. BOOM-SHACKA-LACKA!

    Lame.

I thought this post was about this guy:

As far as Obama is concerned, yeah, he definitely has people weighing him down with an insane level of expectations, but hopefully he will flourish under it. Hopefully...

Then again, it'd be nice if all the people caught up in Obamania remembered all his promises and take him to task should he fail or go back on his word to a great degree. Not that I fault politicians for adapting to the realities of politics after they're elected, but it'd be nice if they didn't promise the stars and the moon.

It's very questionable that he was ever elected for the Presidency by the majority of people in both elections. He isn't called commander 'n thief for nothing.

Never a supporter of McCain, it's just that I have no faith in either side doing things proper when running this country. I hope you're right though. I would love to see Obama bring about some real "change" over this f'd up system. But based on his history, voting and otherwise, I'm not holding my breath. We'll see

The article says that he basically paid his dues doing grunt work for a law firm before he worked on some real cases one of which helped voters.
And they try to spin it into him being some kind of liar?

Report what? That Obama had a suit dismissed in the case of a man who alleged that he slipped and fell because of poor maintenance? Does the article linked even have a point to make?

Haven't you become a bit tired of pushing the "Messiah" conspiracy theory? I've read about it in these forums more than anywhere else.

Ooooh, what is this conspiracy theory of which you speak?

If it's the idea that a lot of people have that Obama has been trumpeted as some sort of savior by his proponents and that this idea caught on in the popular media...then...that seems more like an opinion and less like a conspiracy theory.

Also, the media peddled the **** out of the story, as his possible election was a huge, historical event for the country. Of course, the fact that employment is up and the media outlets had to bring on a lot of extra help to handle the coverage would seem to indicate that their job security wouldn't be hurt in the short term if they pump the hell out of any angle they can grasp their greedy little paws on in the news cycle. But I digress.

Any of those that you'll catch the people who claim not to believe in "conspiracy theories" attempting to peddle, so take your pick. In case you're not old enough to remember (as this was before populist Net politics), the "liberal media conspiracy" and "socialist conspiracy" were also blamed for having won the 1992 election before any voting took place. People have become extremely boring and predictable with the agendas they push.

Western media is capitalist, it's run by corporations for profit, and their only agenda is to make loads of money. They couldn't care less about politics, it's just a means to an end and they will print/publish/broadcast/force-feed you anything to meet that end.

I don't really get what this article is supposed to show but . . . 3,723 billable hours in 4 years? That's not much at all. Wonder what he was doing with all his spare time.

During his campaign, Mr. Obama referred to his days as a "civil rights attorney". It was part of his supposed qualifications for being capable of running the country. A certain percentage of the people who voted for him took him at his word without looking any further into it and the Marxist media failed to expose his exaggerations.

Now, post-election, this Orlando-Sun article is hinting that Mr. Obama was BS-ing.

They had the information all along. This is not "new" news.

Why didn't they call him on it during the campaign? Why wait until after the election to report it?

Can you speculate on the possible reasons for this, Doob?

As for the "Messiah" thing ... that was the way he was portrayed during the entire campaign ... a "new" kind of politician, perfect in every way, a man of "change", without flaw, the "One we have been waiting for" ...

Mr. Obama is not like the rest of us. He does not put his trousers on one leg at a time ... he levitates into the air and lowers himself into them both legs at once ...
