Diary to be released on INternet???

OK, I just heard an interview with George stating he wants to release chapters of Diary on the internet, the combine them on DVD... Uh....OK....Sounds weird.

That sounds like a really lame idea, if you're making a movie, release it as a friggin' movie! The whole episodic content type thing is never done properly anyway (hey Neil, did you see Half Life 2: Episode Two is delayed again - where's the quick turn-over they promised? Assholes...) Anyway, if it can't make it to theatres, who cares - gimme it on DVD as a movie and I'll most certainly buy it.

Well acording to Fangoria, it IS a movie and they will be showing some new behind the scenes footage at the Weekend of Horrors Convention on the 23-25th of Feb. I recall George saying he would be interested in making Diary as an episodic series but I think it was just an early suggestion and nothing concrete.

Webisodes almost always never work. I hope Diary has a theatrical run or a straight to DVD release.

I listened to that interview and I think he said it was a totally separate thing with just one zombie chasing one girl with a new episode every week to be watched on a cell phone. Indeed, I've heard the same thing elsewhere, GAR wants to do a separate project specifically for mobile devices, a kind of "zombie of the week" type thing I think.
