Well I finally got to see them on Sat night at Manchester Apollo, for pure energy, atmosphere, crowd interaction & rock n rollness it was easily the best gig ive been to! The front man Joel is a lunatic, and thats what makes them so good to watch, I was stood down near the front & at one point he burst out of the stage door I was next to playing his solo as he dashed towards the middle of the crowd where there was a big speaker he climbed up to play from, then he carried it on by climbing up onto the balcony above, running through all the folks up there still playing, then appearing right above me & my mates leaning over the balcony still playing, it was cracking! His roadies must be knackered chasing him around the venues they play at
This was when all that happened, filmed by someone elsewhere in the venue

The rest of the gig was awesome, and the two supporting bands that were on first were decent as well (black spiders & taking dawn). If any of you guys get chance to go see Airbourne, its well worth it, you'll love it! Especially if you like AC/DC style rock

I've got MZ on these guys now
They've announced a few more UK dates in December if any of you Brits fancy it! I'll be heading down the Manchester academy one
Another clip from the gig I was at a couple of months ago

And a clip of them from Download festival last weekend (which I wish I'd been at seen as AC/DC were on too) Health & safety killjoys obviously got involved and cut the bands instruments!

Indeed, Tricky got me onto these dudes - they've got an AC/DC vibe about them - I got the latest album "No Guts No Glory" the other week and I've been enjoying it.

A mate of mind went to the Download festival, but I'm not sure if he went to see Airbourne, will have to ask him. That video of the dude scaling that tower and playing - in torrential rain - is fucking mental, and as someone who can't stand on a chair without feeling uneasy, the video freaks me out.

I got his guitar pick from the Manchester gig too, stuck it with my ticket, might be worth something one day! especially if the daft sod falls off the stage one day and goes out in true rock n roll style

Well the guys were back in Manchester last night and the gig didnt disappoint, I was down the front with my mates & it was wild down there, drenched in sweat, fists pumping, jumping around all over the place! my ears are ringing today and I feel like I got hit by a truck! great band

They were supported by Black Spiders again who are also on the way up, with their first album coming out in Feb, worth keeping an eye on if you like your rock music!
