    David Icke

I'm not sure if many people outside of the UK are aware of this man but in the 80's he was a popular sports presenter. He gave up his highly paid job with the BBC to become a spokesperson on topics such as The Illuminati and alien abduction.

In 1991, he did a television interview with Terry Wogan and was ridiculed for his beliefs. He returned to the show many years later and was met with applause from the audience. It's actually strange to see how times changed since then and how many of his beliefs are now widely accepted as truth.

I have no agenda in posting this nor do I believe everything he says (hell, he even thinks the Bush family are shape-shifting reptilian humanoids from Draco ) but the question has to be asked, was David Icke right?

I think Wogan is a bit of a dick and he loves himself too much, but David Icke is a complete Dicke, he's nuts.

You can say stuff like "in the future bad stuff will happen", even as 'accurately vague' as earthquakes or whatnot, because it's gonna happen, but unless you're giving facts, figures, dates and times then you can f*ck-the-arse-off.

Totally. I think Wogan came off badly in both interviews, the smug little twat.

    Ug tell me about it.

That numpty on Comic Relief, muscling out Gabby whats'ername for all the screen time, what a dick. At the very least thought, his tells it like it is on Eurovision, it's all political.

Icke's a twat, no doubt about it. Within hours of the WTC atrocities he was busily weaving the tragedy into the warp and weft of his "theories".
People devour his books though, which are little more than cut & paste conspiracy fodder and hang on his every word at his speaking engagements, desperate to believe in something. These days, peoples critical faculties are so stunted that they are ripe to believe anything and pay for the privilege.
I don't know if I'd like take my hat off to him as a shrewd and talented exploiter of sheeple or just headbutt him, probably both.
The reasoning man who scorns the prejudices of simpletons necessarily becomes the enemy of simpletons; he must expect as much, and laugh at the inevitable.

That's quite an accurate description of his preachings. Saying that, he got an 30 minute standing ovation in Canada recently. He even ends his live sets with the Bill Hick's 'Fear and Love' speech.

No! No! NO! NO! NOOO! No!
Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
