Game Of Thrones RPG (video game)

    Interesting - http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2011/12/...etails-emerge/

Along the 30 hours of gameplay offered by “Game of Thrones“, play as Mors, sworn brother of the Night’s Watch, and Alester, a Red Priest in search of redemption who is back to Westeros after a long exile. The Hand of King Robert Baratheon has just passed away, and these two charismatic heroes will find themselves dragged in a grand quest that will lead them through familiar and gorgeous places of Westeros, such like the Wall and its region, or the famous King’s Landing.
Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. Oh dear! - http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain...t-impressions/

I really wanted to like the Game of Thrones role-playing game.

The title has been in development for seven years by French developer Cyanide Studio – long enough for a polished game to emerge. Hopefully a game that immerses players in the lore of Game of Thrones and Westerosi intrigue that makes the books and HBO series so great.

But it only took half an hour for me to realize that this was not meant to be.

The badly animated, poorly voice-acted cut-scenes dominate a long stretch of the game’s opening, and right away the title’s shortcomings begin to dawn on you. Wooden gestures, shoddy facial animation, and an agonizingly slow story do their best to scare you away from the title before you’ve even drawn your blade.
