Need some help identifying a movie...

Pretty old (70's or 80's) very similair to "The Crazies" (bunch of folk fighting infected/zombie-like baddies in a small town after some sort of chemical spill or whatnot). Any ideas? Sorry to be so vague, but that is all I can really remember. The final scene sees the "heroes" trapped in a store of some kind fighting a last stand (a bit like Assault on Precinct 13). Cheers

I think the film you are thinking of was called 'Mutant'. I have seen it in Pound Land a few months ago, so you might be able to pick up a copy.
