Given the recent lowering of the ZFE requirement and increase in word game topics, The staff have decided that posts made in The Lounge will no longer contribute towards your forum postcount, Now we understand that the purpose of this forum is to post wordgames and jokes and such, but these are posted for fun and not advancement through the ranks (as we beleive some members have been using them). I want to stress that posts already made in here will not be removed and postcounts will not be altered in anyway.

Tehnically if its a forum dedicated to the GAR films shouldn't the only posts that count (seeing as post count contributes to zombie status) be those that are zombie related in nature?

Well if were going down this route then all non-zombie threads should be removed then, as they have no place in a zombie forum. But I think you will find that discussion would grind to a halt. There has to be a balance and the one at HPotD is okay but I have never understood The Lounge. it's technically a spam forum but they go warning people when they spam... it's sorta senseless. It's like the rules are you post then another and so on and this could go on for a few hours while racking up up a pretty decent post count. But you CAN'T do that, which means having the game there in the first place is pointless. I thought the point of playing a game is to keep on playing? I wont deny that I am against The Lounge, as I used it for my own postcount gain for a little while. It was a happy little place once upon a time but then it got too swamped down towards the end. At the end of the day, HPotD a zombie forum, not a feckin' quiz forum.

The Lounge is there for laid back, sort-of-spammy posting, just for a bit of fun, but the post count issue was initially neglected. The sort of posts in the Lounge don't really add to any proceedings, just a place to fart around and have a bit of fun really. Kinda like an extended Shout Box in a way. Basically, I look at HPOTD as a forum where people who share one thing in common - a love of GAR's zed flicks - come to talk about not only zombies, but other things in general. That's how it works, all forums have off topic/general discussion forums.

Thanks capcnut... makes sense... It is interesting to talk to zombie fans about general things but I'm really mad cos now people aren't as into the word games... bastards...
