Beautiful and really quite gross at the same time. I never knew that's what an eye looked like in close detail.

I'm always grossed out by magnified close ups of the human body, hell I feel bad enough just thinking of those 10 metres of intestine coiled up in my belly

And they say the eyes are the "gateway to the soul" - more like a "gateway to hell" when you look at them close up! *shudders*

Honestly, macro shots of most things are unpleasant and sort of disturbing, but strangely interesting to look at (I didn't linger long on the opening pic though).
