The sound of my laptop's woefully pointless pokey little fan spinning around like a madman trying to deal with a file "checking" through itself. The last song I listened to (about an hour ago) was: "Hearts on Fire" by John Cafferty - FRIGGIN' EXCELLENT, perhaps the best montage song there has ever been - as seen in Rocky IV (yes, I've been on a major Rocky kick recently, and I'm loving it).

I then went away and listened to it again and downloaded all the montages from YouTube (using that KeepVid thing...but the synch eventually goes when you do it that way) ... anyway... *ditches Russian 'escort' goons and goes yomping up a snowy mountain* DRAAAAAAAAAAGOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Not listening to anything right now because it's 7 in the morning but I wanted to contribute to what you guys were saying about GnR... Not even remotely enough people give credit to Izzy Stradlin. In fact, some people question "Who?" when you mention him. Appetite For Destruction wouldn't be what it is if it weren't for him. Actually, to most people when you mention GnR it's always Axl or Slash to them. I rarely hear anything said about Izzy, Duff, or Steven unless the person is a true rocker.

There's no doubt that Izzy Stradlin WAS GNR at the time but I don't think he has fared to well on his own, thus making him a non-legend in my eyes. Axl was a great vocalist and Slash an excellent guitarist, they had presence but Stradlin and Duff were the backbone, no argument there. I still prefer Finck though, his technical ability far outweighs Izzy and Slash's put together. Why Axl insists on having three guitarists (four if you include Stradlin's little comebacks) onstage when he's got Finck up there is beyond me? Edit: I just saw this new pic of Izzy, boy he's changed! Clickeroo
