Who would you cast as Wonder Woman ??

I've been reading alot on other forums & sites about the future Joss Whedon Wonder Woman film & the speculation of who Joss will cast in the title role. Joss Whedon is supposedly looking for a "fresh face" & possibly not looking to cast a major player in the lead role. Some names being thrown around are: Monica Bellucci Jennifer Connelly Carrie Anne Moss Catherine Zeta Jones Morena Baccarin Charisma Carpenter Sarah Michelle Gellar Angelina Jolie Jessica Biel Katherine Heigl Kate Beckinsale A new name added to the mix is American Idol runner-up Katherine McPhee. Not sure she has the acting ability but she has the look: I always had Morena Baccarin in my mind since I heard about this. She has the "fresh face" that Whedon has talked about & he's also worked with her & he seems to be loyal to those he's worked with: Of the names listed who would your choice be ?? You can also throw some other names into the mix if you'd like .

Belluci then Zeta-Jones What about the Sopranos daughter? I would LOVE to see Monica Bellucci in the Wonder Woman outfit !! Another thing is that Whedon is supposedly looking for a younger actress to play the role because it might turn into a trilogy. So that would pretty much take Bellucci & Zeta-Jones out of the running. Soprano's daughter: Jamie-Lynn DiScala is another good name to throw into the mix:

Just from that list of names I would go with Morena Baccarin. She already has some experience doing superhero roles. She was the voice of Black Canary in the JLU cartoon series.

I would say Kate Beckinsale. There were a bunch of rumors saying that she had already taken the role, but she shot those down shortly after .... mmm....Kate Beckinsale. I actually saw some pics of her dressed as Wonder Woman for Halloween last year. I should look for them....they're pretty nice. But anyway, she looked like she would be perfect for the role.

I would definitely agree with you, but I think if they go the unknown actor route then she may be too recognizable. I think Morena Baccarin would be a good choice for the unknown actor route. Really, the best way to go about this is go through Maxim, Stuff and FHM's hottest 100 and find all the brunettes they have on the list. Also, they need to be around the statuesque range. Wonder Woman is around 5'11" to 6' as described in the comics.
