    Any Killing Joke fans?

They seem to be more popular in the UK, and we have lots of fine English folk on these boards. I just bought 3 of their CD's off Amazon with a gift card I got for Xmas. Here's a few favorite tracks:

Loved their recent "Killing Joke" album!

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. I came in here thinking it was a discussion of Alan Moore's Batman graphic novel.

Previously, all "the killing joke" meant to me was that Python sketch - I had never really heard this band's work before here in the USA. Checked out the two videos and I am finding that I dig these guys, so I am going to have to seek out more. Thanks for hipping me to this group's pieces, Purge!

I don't swear often, but their "Killing Joke" album (2003) is f***cking amazing! If you like harder stuff and metal, get it! (They had quite a famous drummer for that album!)

Do youself a favour, turn your volume up... and absorb this...

Seeing them a week from Saturday, and driving to the gig in my new sliver Ford Mustang. Life and God are good.

Great show. Jaz said he hoped it would help the city in the healing process. Long live the Joke!
