Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. I missed this thread when first posted, but i'm definitely looking forward to this flick. It looks like a great return for the Mel Gibson of the 80's. Funny, action packed, etc. Should be a fun time at the movies.

I think Gibson made a great return to action in Edge of Darkness, but that was more of a straight-forward badass revenge flick rather than the more light hearted fun of Martin Riggs. Gringo looks more like Riggs to me.

It's nothing ground breaking, but definitely check this movie out if you're a fan of Gibson's older action days. The best thing I can say about this film is that it's fun. Something recent Gibson movies have been lacking.

The entire film rests on Gibson's charisma and he pulls it off wonderfully. Again, it's nothing truly amazing, but if you enjoy 80's action movies with a simple but amusing plot and the wise cracking leading man, this is a must see.

Best part of my day today was opening this thread and the Porn Dark Knight thread at the same time and thinking you were reviewing the other film. For a second I was like: "Oh...Bassman really is an aficionado of all things Batman-related."
