DVD ripping / ipod video question.

I need a good program for ripping DVD's to my hard drive. suggestions? also if anyone is using a video ipod what are you using to convert the files over to Ipod video format ? thanks.

hey apple gave me 60 gis of space i've got to fill it with something. besides i've already paid for the DVDs. and none of thethem came with a TOS agreement abrring me from transferring them to my portable.

i beleive ripping commericial DVD's is still illegal and you wont find any aids to illegal activities on these forums.
