Rick Wakeman and Savini/Romero

Just caught Creepshow 2 on The Horror Channel, and noticed a credit for Rick Wakeman - additional music....looked this up on IMDB and it turns out that he composed "additional music" for The Raft....cool stuff! It also turns out he worked on Tom Savini's The Burning, also as a musician.... I love Rick Wakeman, so this was a bit of a suprirse!

He did the entire score for The Burning, except for some of the "fun in the sun" banjo stuff. Great score.

I emailed Rick the other day and this is what he came back with! he replied in block caps HI TREVOR I see you did some music for The Burning and Creepshow 2 - I DID INDEED. did you get to work with Tom Savini or George Romero on these or were you more in post production and away from them? I GOT TO MEET TOM SAVINI AND GO OUT WITH HIM FOR THE ODD LUNCH AND DINNER....FABULOUS GUY...BRILLIANTLY TALENTED AND LOVED MUSIC TOO .... I love them both, and your music too so imagine my surprise to find out you'd crossed paths!Fantastic stuff! IT WAS 1980 THAT WE MET UP ..IT WAS ON THE BURNING IN NEW YORK. Hope you're well.
