http://news.aol.com/story/ar/_a/shoc...00010000000001 I assosciate this with Jon Benet because its a case where the mother possibly murdered the daughter whether accidentally or not though how you accidentally kill a child is beyond me... I suspected the parents from the beginning but felt they were guilty of something more along the lines of not paying close enough attention to their children and thus responsible if one of them goes missing... Hope this case doesn't wind up like the Natalie Holloway investigation where we never find a body of any kind because I for one really want to know what happened to that beautiful little girl and see someone punished for what happened.

oh ive been saying this from day one, they whent boozing came home and either an accident had ensued through neglect while they left her alone or they were pissed and did something themselves, then just played to everyones fear of non whites and said it was some generic hispanic guy who did it so they wouldnt have to take the blame and lose there other kids or go to prison those were my thoughts right off the bat, "ramsey anyone?"

Kinda reminds me of the case in Boston in the 80s when this Charles guy killed his pregnant wife and then blamed a black guy ... the police basically swarmed the 'projects' and suspected anyone who wasn't white it was insane... It was so funny listening to the media reports covering like how wonderful these people are because they've stayed behind in a foreign country waiting for word on their daughter but I think its more like they're waiting for word on any possible sightings of a dead body or something so they can either move the child or whatever... and they're doctors but yet they're raising other peoples money to try to find their daughter? Wtf?

Heard this on the radio all day yesterday, some messed up stuff. I never really sat around and thought about the case that much, the incessant media attention just disgusted me and over-dosed it all for me, but I bet the Daily Mail feel like idiots now...although they'll probably just now switch direction and continue on in that, eyes-up-and-whistling-non-challantly stylee. Anyway, it's all messed up...the story was ropey from the start, either ropey or it was flat out a case of two parents being complete idiots...which you'd think they wouldn't be. They're well educated, aren't they doctors as well or something? You'd think they'd know you don't leave your kids alone in an unlocked and unattended room - I mean come-the-f*ck-on. By which I mean, it makes it more likely for it to be foul play. But then you also think, if they sedated their kid, and they're doctors - surely they should know how to sedate safely? Not that I'm agreeing with sedating a kid, for f*ck sake it's messed up is what it is...and you'd think, well surely they've done it before...so if they have, how could they mess it up? Oh it's a web of messed-up-edness.

It's funny what happened to "Innocent until PROVEN guilty". Don't you find it funny how a witnesses account put a man carrying a young blonde girl away from the scene around the same time have been noted, yet that man hasn't come forward despite the huge scale of the media frenzy? Do you not think he might have come forward to say "That guy was me?". Of course, that relies on him having nothing to hide.

They found blood, not enough to even determine the sex of the person it came from. Such evidence would be dismissed in the UK. My point was more that people are throwing some evidence out of the window, and justifying it on flimsy ground. I just simply disagree with trial by media. It's a complete circus.

Of course it is, since its technically global gossip not news. news effects anythign from a community to the world with actual events that have an impact. This is going to have no implications for even one other person besides those involved, so its not news its just gossiping.

Funnily enough (well, sorta) I was watching a video earlier (winding back to the start of Wild Bunch to finally sit down and watch that flick), anyway there was an episode of South Park at the start of the tape, the one where Butters' parents believe they've accidentally killed him and blame "some Puertorican guy", then the likes of OJ and then some American people I've never heard of (who also might have killed their nearest & dearest), and Butters' dad screams what everybody's thinking when the 'camera' cuts away to their faces...it's actually pretty funny. Anyway...actually a bit off topic, but still...I thought it was a funny-ass episode. This whole Maddy thing is absolutely nuts, I don't think it'll ever be solved.
