Was weird watching that Tom Cruise/Les Grossman commercial, because I read about Don's death just before watching it, and there he is doing the voice over in the trailer.

I don't think he's the only voice over guy in the business.

My own little tribute to LaFontaine. His greatest work:

    Thats not Don Lafontaine.

The Voice Over int he Tropic Thunder Commercial is Don LaFontaine, and he also did the Night of the Living Dead 1990 Trailer, and nearly all of Shwarzeneggers films.

He was sometimes referred to as the VOICE of god. He did so many voice overs, one of them being, the VO for the Clint Eastwood Spaghetti westerns. Mainly the Good The Bad and The Ugly.

Methinks a bloke called Redd Pepper (who has an equally deep, gruff voice) will be getting a LOT of work now...he's a Brit, used to be a tube train driver. Obviously he puts on an American accent for his trailer voice overs.

He's got a 'trailer voice', I'm trying to find a vid of him on YouTube...
