I would almost pay to have seen the look on the Narcotics Officers faces when they were told that they not only had to give this guy his weed and hash back, but also that the department was being sued for destroying his hydroponic grow-kit. And also, to have to turn it over while that kinda sleazy looking pot advocate stood there and made snide remarks while wearing the smug grin, and all in front of the press -- priceless! Wonder if the police had to apologize to this guy when they gave him back his stash?

A question for my UK brothers: What are the regulations governing marijuana over there across the pond? Do they allow medicinal use, or is it strictly prohibited? Is possession of a small amount for personal use against the law, and if so, does Law Enforcement actually pursue these cases, or is it a "wink-wink" kind of situation? And in this regard, how punative are the penalties for violation of these statues?

Basically it's not an issue really. The economy of this is worth 1billion in this country alone. The law doesn't like it, by any means, but if you're caught with under 3 oz then you get a simple slap on the wrist for possession.

People tend to smoke it down the streets sometimes - I've seen that more and more recently. I just think the police and everyone else have better things to worry about - but still there are plenty of raids keeping it off the streets and out of the hands of our vunerable, knife wielding youth.
Innocent victims of merciless crimes, fall prey to some madman's impulsive designs.

Step after step we try controlling our fate. When we finally start living, it's become too late.

this is the best news i've heard in eons.

living in a state with some of the most laid back weed laws in the country, i feel sorry for those of you who don't.

I wish that would give me mine back. But it wasn't for medical purposes, so I doubt it.
