    It's all in the eyes...

Just playing around with my camera over the weekend. I was about to delete a picture I took of my little one while we were out having a picnic. I then noticed her eyes

Here's a cropped part of the photo (from 4228x2848 to 1900x1255)... Click and zoom into the eye

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. Kick ass pic there Neil, that's pretty cool being able to see all that detail in your kid's eye, and evidently a bloody amazing camera too. Noiiice.

It was a bit of a 'Blade Runner' moment with original full size pic. Just kept zooming in (by chance) to reveal more and more detail, until finally getting to a 180 degree counter image of me and the picnic!
