I don't understand it... I really don't. If there really was a god, why would he take Sir Patrick Moore and punish us by keeping Justin Bieber alive?

    Goodbye Patrick Moore :(

I thought he looked a little ill the last two episodes of "The Sky At Night", and today he passed away. This actually was quite a shock to me, as he's been a regular piece of a lot of my life due to me regularly watch this TV series. I think he's presented every episode except one, which he missed due to illness.

Goodbye Patrick, and thanks! We've lost a national treasure today!

British astronomer and broadcaster Sir Patrick Moore has died, aged 89, his friends and colleagues have said.

He "passed away peacefully at 12:25 this afternoon" at his home in Selsey, West Sussex, they said in a statement.

Sir Patrick presented the BBC programme The Sky At Night for over 50 years, making him the longest-running host of the same television show ever.

There were rumours him being one of the few people (if not only) to have met both the first person to fly, and the first person on the moon. I seem to recall him talking about it!?

"Patrick is irreplaceable. There will never be another Patrick Moore. But we were lucky enough to get one."
