Details about Zombies, fka Tobe Hoopers Zombies

Hi all...been watching for this...here's the paste from:

    http://www.upcominghorrormovies.com/movies/zombies.php

Recently widowed Karen Tunny and her two daughters, Sarah and Emma, move to a remote mountain home which Karen has inherited from the family of her late husband. However, she is unaware that the home is situated near an old mine, the site of an early 20th century tragedy in which many children were buried alive.

    LATEST NEWS

It looks as though Tobe Hooper is no longer attached to this project, which is probably a good thing considering his latest mess entitled Mortuary and his horrible addition to the Masters of Horror series. According to DC, J.S. Cardone has replaced Tobe. You can find on on-set pics for the film here, which is currently filming.

    DETAILS

    - The script was originally described as zombies meet Deliverance, and to be about a collapsed mine with miners trapped inside, but then the script supposedly went through a massive change.
    - Originally the writers for The Toolbox Murders remake Jace Anderson and Adam Gierasch were to write the script.
    - Director J.S. Cardone also worked on The Forsaken.
    - Tobe Hooper was originally set to direct when the project was first announced.

Hmm ... so basically it's not really a zombie zombie movie actually. It's one of those off-shoot movies dealing with the living dead in a different way than Romero's apocalypse flavor.

Not that it'll definitely end up not sucking because of it, but pulling Hooper was a smart move.
Camelot is a state of mind.
